Testing plan

To test the described network above we will perform the following actions :

1. Start the network entities and observe what happens when an entity is added to he network.
2. Display the VRIP, VARP, VRIP and VIF tables after the system is stabilised ( ie. after adding all the entities ).
3. Test the overall system by sending packets and observe the way thy are routed and catched by hosts. For this purpose we will send the following packets and switch on the VIP protocol debugging to see the IP forwarding.
   • P1 : H_8 $\rightarrow$ H_7
   • P2 : H_6 $\rightarrow$ H_7
   • P3 : H_6 $\rightarrow$ H_8
   • P4 : H_8 $\rightarrow$ H_6
   • P5 : H_6 $\rightarrow$ Undefined Host
   • P6 : H_6 $\rightarrow$ Undefined Network
